Description:

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE NEEDED:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR
  • Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years’ experience OR In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Bachelor’s degree (typically in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • Must be able to read, understand and apply work instructions.
  • Able to be flexible around shifts, for training and to maintain workflow, to include overtime.
  • Must have advanced knowledge of GD&T, (minimum 3+ years experience).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Coordinate Measuring Machine / Laser Tracking Experience a huge plus.
  • Demonstrated effective Problem-Solving skill set.
  • Ability to obtain, organize and analyze quality data.
  • Manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Experience in SAP.
  • Experience in a AS9100 certified environment or similar operating system certifications (IATF16949, ISO-9001-2015, etc).
  • Machining center experience, composite machining experience a plus.

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Investigate the root cause of customer escapes and non-conformances and determine appropriate corrective/preventive actions.
  • Complete and maintain customer documentation.
  • Perform product, process, and work instruction audits.
  • Interface with all levels of management and coworkers to resolve technical/quality issues related to internal and external product and process quality performance.
  • Be a voice of the customer in a manufacturing setting.
  • Review and approve new and revised customer contracts.
  • Serve as subject matter expert in matters related to assigned program(s).
  • Monitor and process material identified as defective from identification through disposition.
  • Dimensional verification of assigned finished material.
  • Willing to support all areas as needed.
