Description:

SCOPE

Provide leadership to the Quality groups and oversee quality programs and requirements for one region. Is responsible for control of the Quality Management System, Quality Planning, Quality Assurance, APQP, customer contact, and lessons learned from corrective/preventive actions, and maintaining certification to IATF or other applicable standards. Will track, analyze and report on quality trends and product non-conformance issues, and lead major problem resolution and product recall efforts for one region.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead root cause investigation and resolution of escalated quality incidents and high severity quality escape teams in compliance with industry best practice methodologies (E.g. 8D, 5-Why, Fishbone Diagrams, A3) and Quality Management System requirements.
  • Support the development of supplier quality through supplier assessment, nonconformance correction, or supplier development project execution when site escalated or assigned.
  • Leading/participating on teams to assure the integration of new acquisition sites into the Quality Management System
  • Drive execution of quality initiatives across the operational sites to achieve strategic quality improvement objectives (E.g. Customer Incident Rate, PPM, Cost of Poor Quality, Inter-Company Incident Rate, Supplier PPM, etc.). The scope of initiatives is broad and will include hands-on support and leadership with operational sites on process / quality control advancement, project teamwork on quality IT system advancement, and QMS system enhancement and deployment.
  • Lead customer quality improvement meetings to ensure effective execution of quality improvement commitments and incident read-across and gap correction.
  • Responsible for the coordination/reporting of quality metrics to the organization that indicate customer satisfaction, and the efficiency and effectiveness of quality management systems for the region.

This applies in particular to any data, drawings, internal company information, technical ideas and developments, plans, calculations, procedures, schedules).
