The Senior Quality Manager is responsible for the overall quality assurance and regulatory compliance programs for the facility. This includes oversight of the quality control and assurance function, maintaining regulatory compliance with part 145 requirements, and managing a staff consistent with the oversight necessary to maintain compliance with all requirements to operate the repair station at the highest standards.Reporting to the Vice President and General Manager, the ideal candidate will be a resourceful self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, welcomes a challenge, and can bring vision into reality while managing all aspects of business operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for directing and coordinating compliance with all applicable standards such as CFR’s, EASA, C.A.S.E., AS9110C, CAAC, and other applicable customer requirements
  • Ensures that all persons performing inspections under the repair station certificate and operations specifications meet the requirements of 14 CFR Part 145.155 Inspection personnel requirements
  • Responsible for maintaining and implementing all procedures for Quality Control and Quality Assurance.
  • Manages all Auditing and Inspection systems and activities
  • Responsible for establishing, modifying, and developing all policies and procedures associated with the Training Program
  • Maintains repair station manuals and ensures that the procedures for revising and notifying the certificate-holding district office of the revisions are established and up to date.
  • Responsible for facilitating FAA/EASA/CAAC/AS9110 and Customer surveillance activities and assisting in obtaining responses to questions or requests for information
  • Responsible for directing and monitoring the Safety Program and the Hazardous Waste Program
  • Oversee front-end and back-end development teams and their projects
  • Monitor reliability and performance of all internal systems to suggest improvements
  • Design strategies for future development projects based on the company’s overall objectives and resources
  • Monitoring Airworthiness Directives for applicability and compliance

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or other relevant field
  • 3-5 years of related quality control and assurance experience
  • Must have proven experience in Part 145 aircraft maintenance, quality control, quality assurance, or inspection for an airline or MRO organization.
  • Training or knowledge and experience in the performance of maintenance, preventive maintenance, or alterations authorized by the repair station certificate in accordance with Part 43.
  • Thoroughly familiar with 14 CFR Parts 43 and 145, EASA Part 145, China CAAC, and AS9110C, C.A.S.E. 1A Standard.
  • Verbal, written, and presentation skills necessary to effectively communicate with all levels of employees and management.
  • Airframe & Powerplant License (preferred)
