In our Electric Vehicle Systems business line (EVS) we develop and manufacture battery systems from 48V up to High Voltage for automotive and industrial applications. Valmet Automotive covers the full range from contract manufacturing to a TIER1 system supplier.

HERE’S WHERE YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT:

We are looking for a Sr. Manager, Quality & HSE to join our team at the battery factory in Uusikaupunki, Finland. The Manager is charge of the quality systems, processes and control as well as training to create effective processes and good quality culture. The aim is to create necessary capabilities for customer needs and support business by good quality performance both externally and internally.
You act as leading manager in quality management and development. You develop training programs, processes and methods as needed. You work with your 50 people team of Quality and Laboratory Engineers and operator to manage work instructions and methods that support Control Plans, PFMEAs, and process validation. You ensure together with your team members that the Quality and Laboratory areas meet the 5S standard that has been implemented in the Uusikaupunki factory. In this role, you have the opportunity to utilize Six Sigma tools to improve manufacturing and quality processes, and to improve quality methods and practices.
You organize and support customer and regulatory audits as they relate to the Quality. Besides the leadership and development of your team members, you contribute in developing and monitoring Key Performance Indicators in areas related to your tasks.
This is an on-site role in our battery factory in Uusikaupunki, Finland. The work can be managed partly by remote work with some 80 % present / 20 % remote ratio.
