Job Summary
We are looking for reinforcement for our test team.
Our mission is to find potential errors in our software products at an early stage and thus enable high product quality for our customers.
We are constantly optimizing our test processes and looking for creative solutions to continuously improve the quality of our products.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for all test-related topics and activities in a project.
Take a leading role in the creation and implementation of test strategies for our web-based and mobile applications as part of customer projects or product development.
Work with project and department managers to implement Cubic worldwide test initiatives.
Creating, reviewing and detailing complex test cases, in particular functional and non-functional system integration tests.
Coordinating and monitoring the work of external test service providers, compiling results and managing defects.
Support project stakeholders with constructive and practical advice on all test-related issues and convince them to implement them.
Liaise with the internal technical departments for software development as well as the customers regarding testing in software projects.
Preparation and creation of test reports to support the go-live decision.
Provide internal support concerning sales, bids and change requests.
Coordinate and document software deliveries.
Represents team leadership and provides technical guidance and training to junior test personnel.
Skills knowledge and experience:
Essential
Fluent German language skills, both written and oral.
Several years (>3 years) of intensive experience in the software testing or quality assurance environment with a certification as ISTQB Certified Tester - Foundation Level.
In-depth knowledge of all phases of the software development life cycle.
Ability to write good reports and general word processing skills (Word, Excel, Databases).
Good day to day planning skills, co-ordination and control under pressure.
Many years of practical experience in the use of Jira, Confluence and TestRail or comparable tools.
Desirable
Certification as ISTQB Certified Tester - Advanced Level Test Manager.
Experience in testing back-office systems for public transportation.
Working experience with database systems and working knowledge of SQL.
Potential interest in developing into the role of a team leader.
Initial experience in working with test automation.
Good in English, both written and spoken.
