Several commercial projects are looking to commence over the next 2 months and as part of resourcing, they require an additional SQS to manage the commercial objectives of one of these projects,
YOUR BACKGROUND:
You will need to be a degree or diploma qualified Quantity Surveyor with experience on New Zealand projects over $15 in value. Ideally you will have at least 8 + years experience in a QS role; however estimating skills would also be useful.
You will need to have a positive attitude and be a team player. Your ability to manage relationships with colleagues, project managers, engineers, architects, sub-contractors and tradespeople will allow you to become a valued member of the project team. You will be working for another main contractor at present and be looking for enhanced career prospects whilst offering solid job security.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the commercial manager and being responsible for a number of projects, you will be responsible for administration of subcontractor contracts, cost estimating, contract negotiation, monitoring subcontractors to ensure they are undertaking works in accordance with contractual obligations, analysing costs, variations, final accounts, client meetings, resolving issues, team management and liaising across multiple stakeholders.
