ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent knowledge.
  • Chartered Member of RICS, ICES, or CIOB, or working towards membership.
  • Professional Qualified Person CSCS Card.
  • Strong commercial acumen and experience in managing project costs.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a proven track record in managing project costs and income?
We are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team on the East Coast of Scotland. In this role, you will play a crucial part in minimizing project costs and enhancing value for money while maintaining high standards and quality.
What you’ll be doing

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Governance:
  • Adhere to company governance requirements and maximize LEAN/digital opportunities.
  • Commercial Management and Administration:
  • Prepare activity and resource schedules, analyze tender documents, and negotiate with third parties. Review complex contract programs and assist with delay and disruption programs.
  • Customer/Change Management:
  • Understand customer contracts, manage customer and stakeholder relationships, negotiate claims, and handle compensation events.
  • Procurement:
  • Conduct constructability analyses, prepare procurement programs, and help develop procurement strategies.
  • Development, Recruitment, and Retention:
  • Support the recruitment, supervision, and development of team members.
