Description:
Role Introduction:
We are seeking a strong, experienced senior Software Engineer / Web Developer, with 5+ years of experience in writing React based applications. The successful applicant will join the recently acquired Isosec team, who sit within the Health & Care division of OneAdvanced.
What You Will Do:
As a member of the Isosec team, you will be working to develop high quality software applications that better enable clinicians to deliver care to their patients, using the latest web technologies available. Aided by a dedicated designer and fully-fledged scrum team, you’ll be assigned to the industry leading Virtual Smartcard product, as well as its various supporting projects. Your responsibilities will include:
- Exploring exciting new technology advancements to see how they can improve our software - building out a new Identity and Access Management Platform with industry leading authentication models
- Working with the development and scrum team to deliver high quality releases to the relevant stakeholders
- Creating reusable, component-driven code, that is well documented and well thought out
- Following industry standard security principles such as the OWASP top 10 and SonarQube code scanning
- Assuring great code quality through code reviews and unit testing
What You Will Have:
The following are essential for a successful applicant:
- Strong React application development experience in a commercial setting
- Experience using the Open Id Connect protocols (or OAuth2 frameworks)
- Experience of developing Web API’s
- Strong database skills (NoSQL and MySQL)
- Experience writing commercial Cloud projects, ideally in AWS
- Good knowledge of secure coding practices, such as the OWASP top 10
- Experience writing unit tests for your code.
- Ability to translate user requirements into functional requirements.
- Able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical staff.
- Good understanding of S.O.L.I.D. principles
The following are desirable but not required for a successful applicant:
- Experience using Node.JS
- Experience working in a CI/CD environment - Ideally using technologies like Harness
- Experience with cloud compute services; like AWS Lambda
- Experience with serverless cloud technologies
- Strong Git skills
