Senior Registrar or Registrar (Fellow) - Adult Congenital Heart Disease

About the role
Temporary full time opportunity to provide training in adult congenital heart disease and in the management of adult survivors of congenital heart surgery. This will include outpatient assessments and inpatient care. The training includes exposure to young patients with congenital heart disease, cardiac surgical and post-operative care, as well as involvement with arrhythmia management, echocardiographic diagnosis, complex interventional work, obstetric cardiology relating to the congenital heart disease patients, general medical and psychological care.
About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health’s values:

• Accountable to senior medial officers in ACHD for the overall clinical care of patients allocated and maintaining the highest professional standards of practice and care.
• Accountable to the Clinical Co-Directors ACHD Unit, Director of Cardiology, and finally the Executive Director of The Prince Charles Hospital, for compliance with hospital policy and procedures, for general behaviour and standards, practice and care. In particular, the Fellow is responsible to assist in ensuring economy in the use of equipment, prescribed medications under all these categories is subject to approval by a higher medical authority.
