The Job At-A-Glance:
This role is responsible for managing various activities of the company’s Third-Party Risk Management Program, IT, regulatory, and other compliance related tasks. They respond to various compliance related inquiries and provide advisory services to the business related to compliance matters. They provide oversight compliance related activities through participation in the Compliance Committee and preparation of quarterly reports and supporting materials for the Risk and Compliance Committee of the Board of Directors. They collaborate closely with members of management and the executive leadership team to drive continuous improvement within operations and governance, risk, and compliance areas.

A Typical Day:

  • Works with management within Compliance, Risk, Product, Operations, IT, and Security to design effective and efficient compliance related activities.
  • Identifies and tracks contractual, regulatory, and industry standard based compliance requirements.
  • Provides strategic recommendations to executive management to enhance and mature programs based on monitoring of the changing regulatory space, changing client needs, etc.
  • Assists with client audit activities for large enterprise clients.
  • Evaluates effectiveness of control design and operation to meet compliance requirements.
  • Performs or facilitates various assessments based on FFIEC IT Booklets, SOC 1, and SOC 2 requirements.
  • Provide oversight for third-party risk assessments for initial third-party approvals and annual third-party reviews.
  • Prepares reporting for management and the Risk and Compliance Committee of the Board of Directors.
  • Performs compliance reviews at the request of management for updates to business processes or new product initiatives.
  • Provides advisory services to business functions for compliance related matters.

Bring Your Passion, Do What You Love. Here’s What We’re Looking For:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 12 years of related experience; or an advanced degree with 8+ years of experience; or equivalent related work experience.
  • Many years of progressive work experience within Audit and/or Compliance teams strongly preferred
  • Excellent understanding of various compliance requirements (e.g., FFIEC, FRB, and OCC regs and guidance) and audit related standards including IIA and AICPA standards
  • Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), or other Compliance or Audit Certification preferred
  • Strong program management skills
  • Adaptable and able to meet deadlines on assignments, juggle multiple demands and to work with all types of individuals up to and including the CEO.
  • Strong skills in negotiating, relationship building, problem solving, and timely problem escalation.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Strong work ethic with high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Detail oriented but able to quickly grasp the big picture.
  • Ability to perform independently while working in a team environment.
  • Organized individual who thrives in fast paced environment
  • Trustworthy and discreet with confidential company data
