We are looking for a Senior Relationship Manager to join and play a key role in our Middle East Commercial and Reinsurance team in DIFC. Reporting to the Head of Head of Customer, Distribution & Market Management, this individual will deliver a multi-divisional strategy in relationship with Brokers and Cedants to help make Zurich the most trusted and valuable insurer partner.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

As Senior Relationship Manager, your role will involve:

  • Develop strong business relationships with assigned Brokers.
  • Help develop an effective communication and relationship program at all levels to facilitate execution of the Organization’s business plans.
  • Understand the Brokers strategy, organizational structure, business priorities, market differentiation, etc., and connect it to a thorough understanding of the Organization’s Group, General Insurance, Business Division and Strategic Business Unit strategies.
  • Monitor performance and identify consistent non-compliance issues escalated by other team members and highlight patterns for senior members of the team to address.
  • Analyze key themes from a wide range of data sources in order to identify how different scenarios may impact upon the business and make recommendations to improve sales processes and effectiveness.
  • Design and implement business process standards and deliver programs / campaigns to ensure they are adhered to.
  • Evaluate the most complex customer/distributor issues and service requests and develop bespoke technical solutions to enable the organization to meet their needs within policy constraints and make changes to drive channel/segment growth where possible.
  • Leverage the appropriate tools to improve sales effectiveness and pursue improvement of channel or customer segment capabilities across multiple geographies (including development of customer or distributor insights, segmentation, and value proposition)
  • Build targeted growth opportunities (e.g., development of the distribution network and tenders working with local businesses), working cross-functionally with colleagues and distributors to drive growth for the business.

BUSINESS ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Translate business objectives into clearly defined business cases, costs, or schedules in order to support the achievement of a work area.
  • Lead the implementation of projects for a function or business area to deliver defined objectives (e.g., sales process improvement) with allocated resources and in timescales typically of less than one year.
  • Monitor performance and identify consistent non-compliance issues escalated by other team members and highlight patterns for senior members of the team to address.
  • Analyze key themes from a wide range of data sources in order to identify how different scenarios may impact upon the business and make recommendations to improve sales processes and effectiveness.
  • Contribute to the development of sales and distribution processes and lead the implementation of systems and process improvements in channel / customer segment across multiple geographies.
  • Design and implement business process standards and deliver programs / campaigns to ensure they are adhered to.
  • Evaluate the most complex customer/distributor issues and service requests and develop bespoke technical solutions to enable the organization to meet their needs within policy constraints and make changes to drive channel/segment growth where possible.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

To be successful in this role, your will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Finance and 8 or more years of experience in related field
  • An ability to understand, interpret and translate customer requirements into deliverables.
  • A good understanding of the compliance requirements affecting dealings with Intermediaries, Trustees, Companies, and members.
  • Strong reputation for delivery against sales and expense targets.
  • Well-versed in Commercial Insurance, Reinsurance process and framework.
  • Relationship management skills at all levels both externally and within the organization.
  • Excellent communication, influence, and motivation skills.
  • Business planning and organization skills.
