Description:

The Mechanical Reliability Engineer will primarily identify the pro-active maintenance requirements for assets to increase plant productivity, maximize reliability performance in a sustainable way and to capture all opportunities to improve processes while reducing total cost.

  • you will update the site criticality assessment, implement/review the Equipment Reliability Strategy (ERS) program, follow up with appropriate action to restore asset integrity and carry out investigations into failures to eliminate their root causes.
  • Capture opportunities to improve asset integrity while complying with EHS and Food Safety requirements and in alignment with Reliability Excellence practices/processes.
  • Key Accountabilities Assess, analyze and maintain the mechanical integrity of new installations and existing systems.
  • Implement, monitor and maintain best practices to improve operational effectiveness through continuous improvement and reliability excellence methods and tools.
  • Monitor capitalized repair and replacement projects, mitigate risk issues, and removes barriers to ensure completion of milestones within budget.
  • Partner with vendors/contractors and handle contracts related to asset improvements and new asset project activities.
  • Ensure the ongoing mechanical and structural integrity of plant equipment and assets.
  • Lead and execute quality maintenance planning and in alignment with stakeholders Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Academic degree in mechanical engineering or in related field Experience in similar role in chemical/petrochemical company
  • Practical knowledge of using ERP system (SAP, Maximo)
  • Fluent German and English
  • Ability to develop and conduct training for reliability topics
  • Team player with proactive approach and analytical mind-set to problem solving
