POSITION SUMMARY

LSEG World-Check is seeking a Senior Research Analyst to join our team. We are looking for candidates with a niche background or experience in political risk. The candidate should be able to work independently and optimally under pressure to complete quick turnaround assignments. The ability to convey careful judgment and sophisticated information in a concise, impartial and accessible manner to clients is essential. This is an opportunity for a candidate to work on intellectually diverse team of open source analysts.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research on terrorism, organized crime, trafficking, wildlife trafficking, cybercrime and threat finance research.
  • Analyse a range of data sources in local languages to produce reports and content updates.
  • Maintain a level of regional and portfolio country expertise by supervising breaking news for developments.
  • Research and extract data from all sources, ensure accuracy and quality of findings by following policies and laws.
  • Provide status updates on research projects to manager.
  • Effectively collaborate with teams across offices in time zones.

Qualifications

  • Must possess keen attention to detail, research, writing and analytical skills, and enjoy investigations to uncover difficult to access information
  • Knowledge of political and threat finance issues in Turkey.
  • Proven experience including internships, research assistantships, and independent projects that rely on both qualitative and quantitative skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Native level proficiency in Turkish is helpful.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred in international relations, political science, security studies, history, foreign languages, or other humanities fields. Outstanding graduates in other fields or those with validated experience will be considered.
