Description:

To bolster our bioanalytical team, we’re seeking a Senior Research Associate with a background in bioanalytical laboratory work.
The ideal candidate should be motivated to produce high-quality results through close collaboration with both the bioanalytical and project teams. This takes place in a dynamic, informal, and stimulating environment where you and your colleagues collaborate towards achieving our shared objectives.
This position is based in Zwijnaarde (Ghent) and daily onsite working is required.
Work description

Your responsibilities include:

  • Contributing to the development of bioanalytical assays (ELISA, MSD, Gyros platforms) for non-clinical and clinical studies.
  • Independently planning and conducting experiments, as well as interpreting, reporting, and presenting results.
  • Offering creative solutions to unforeseen issues as they arise.
  • Actively engaging in project teams, effectively organizing tasks while recognizing and addressing priorities.
  • Demonstrating eagerness to acquire new skills and knowledge, and being willing to share expertise with colleagues.

Profile:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, Pharmaceutical and Biological Laboratory Technology with approximately 4 years of experience, or a Master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences or Industrial Engineering with approximately 2 years of experience.
  • Proficient in essential statistical and data analysis software such as Excel and GraphPad Prism.
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with bioanalytical methods, including ELISA or MSD.
  • A team player who is enthusiastic and precise in execution and reporting.
  • Demonstrates initiative, commitment to quality, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Fluent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
