The role would suit applicants with experience in analysis of large routinely collected datasets, have completed ethics and data access applications, and have a good understanding of information governance policies. They will have experience in quantitative methods applied to health research. The applicant should have a higher degree in a relevant discipline. They will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team.
Responsibilities:
THE ROLE
We are seeking to appoint a talented researcher with experience in quantitative analysis of large routinely collected datasets, data access processes, and information governance. The appointee will have experience working in applied health research, public health, epidemiology or medical statistics and interested in working on a range of topics within the National Institute for Health Research Applied Research Collaboration West (NIHR ARC West) led by Professor John Macleod (https://arc-w.nihr.ac.uk/about-arc-west/). The post is 100% FTE (35 hrs per week), based in the University of Bristol, and starting ideally in March 2024.
WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
The researcher will be supporting quantitative projects done by the NIHR Applied Research Collaboration West (ARC West). The post holder will prepare and analyse routinely collected datasets, complete ethics and data access applications, and information governance. They will also lead in the writing up the findings for publications.
