Description:

We, at the Thames Valley Tier 4 and HOPE (Healthy Outcomes for People with Eating Disorders) Provider Collaboratives, are looking for a Senior Research Associate to provide specialist research and evaluation expertise and oversight to the to the research work of the in order to evaluate the effectiveness of the wide range of work undertaken to date.
The Provider Collaboratives are each a group of providers of specialist services working together on an agreed footprint to deliver excellent care services and, with local clinical leadership and systems leadership, share approaches, pathways, resources and clinical expertise for the benefit of some of the most vulnerable of our children, young people and adults.

Responsibilities:

Be a trained senior clinician with experience working in mental healthcare and clinical research, able to work autonomously, be flexible and creative
Supervise and support clinical team members carrying out research and evaluation within the Provider Collaborative using and building upon the existing data. .
Demonstrate expert research and audit skills with evidence of scientific publications.
The role will mix working from an Oxford/Swindon office base and remote working, from home and/or other Provider Collaborative sites, as required, in Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, BaNES (Bath and North East Somerset), Swindon & Wiltshire (BSW) and Gloucestershire.
Review all existing research and service evaluations carried out across the Provider Collaboratives and develop a data base to collate all research to date.
Set up a forum for clinicians within the Provider Collaborative undertaking research and evaluation to review/agree approach and provide support, as needed.
Undertake appropriate research and make recommendations for further areas of research. This could include all aspects of research from designing appropriate studies, undertaking data collection, undertaking data analysis, and writing up and disseminating findings.
Provide research advice and guidance to other staff undertaking research, audit and service evaluations.
In conjunction with the Clinical Directors, write up papers for publication and prepare reports and presentations to disseminate findings at relevant meetings and conferences.
Assisting with writing proposals to secure grant funding.
Provide post-qualification training (CPD) and clinical professional supervision to recently qualified clinical psychologists and other professionals attached to the team.
Contribute to the development, evaluation and monitoring of Eating Disorder and CAMHS Tier 4 operational policies and services, through the deployment of professional skills in research, service evaluation and audit, in consultation with relevant others.
