Responsibilities:

Within Dyson Research we define what’s next. Our research team supports long term company growth through technology innovation at our state-of-the-art Wiltshire campus. This role is to lead our expanding research into fundamental air quality science and the development of gas sensing technology.

Key responsibilities:

  • Propose, agree and deliver company strategy for the development of new chemical sensor technology.
  • Hire leading experts in the field of chemical sensing and air quality to expand Dyson’s capability in this area.
  • Manage a team of scientists, technicians, and engineers to deliver specific technology to product.
  • Mentor and develop junior team members to create Dyson’s next generation of thought leaders
  • Create an internal knowledge hub in air quality science.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external academics to keep at the forefront of science in this field.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to bring supplier led innovation to Dyson products.
  • Work with senior stakeholders to develop long term Opex, Capex and resource plans
