Description:
We have an opportunity for a Senior Research Technician in Vaccine Encapsulation to join the team at the Jenner Institute, Nuffield Department of Medicine.
You will be responsible for carrying out procedures such as immunisation, sampling and processing of blood. You will provide help in arranging the shipment of samples to our academic and commercial collaborators when requested. You will participate in internal seminars, meetings and effectively contribute to the aims and objectives of the Group. Additionally, you will follow experimental protocols for the handling and characterisation of particles encapsulating vaccines, following training.
It is essential that you hold a BSc degree or have equivalent experience in relevant area of research, e.g. vaccine development together with a laboratory management experience.
You will hold a UK Home Office licence. You will have an excellent communication skill and demonstrated ability to manage own experimental and administrative activities. Experience with preclinical models for a vaccine development is desirable.
