  • 1-2 year’s experience in a similar role or within Front Office with a Reservations System, Opera would be an advantage.
  • Excellent customer care skills.
  • Excellent command of the English language both written and oral is essential.
  • Ability to cope well under pressure.
  • Highly motivated, and a team player.

Responsibilities:

OBJECTIVE OF THE ROLE

Reporting to the Reservations & Revenue Manager the Senior Reservations Agent will be the main point of contact for our guests. It is of utmost importance that the reservations department present a friendly and professional manner at all times. As a Senior Reservations Agent, you will act as the main point of contact for guest’s bookings for bedrooms and car park, dealing with queries and cross selling of our other properties. You will also carry out departmental trainings in line with the training and development needs of the team and onboard any new team members.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To ensure all bookings are entered the PMS correctly and that all guest requests are met and communicated to the relevant departments.
  • To have a friendly and welcoming phone manner.
  • Be familiar with all the hotel packages, corporate agreements in place, hotel and city events and terms and conditions of the hotel and Dalata as a whole.
  • Ensure in depth knowledge of the department, and the hotel facilities
  • Ensure smooth communication between all departments.
  • Ensure that day to day tasks are carried out efficiently and in line with the departmental standards
  • Observe GDPR and PCI standards.
  • Respond to guest enquiries and feedback in a timely and professional manner;
  • Have an understanding of room revenue and ensure that this is maximised when opportunity arises.
  • Assist the Reservations Manager with specific tasks such as team training and rate loading.
  • Monitor and manage hotel occupancy and rate at all times.
  • Send new business leads to the sales team.
