Description:

This role is responsible for developing and delivering category winning retail propositions, working closely with Retail (store) and Support Centre (office) stakeholders to ensure effective adoption in store and realisation of benefits to the consumer. This role will need to be able to operate across all phases of the transformation lifecycle, from strategy and insight through to programme delivery and change management. The role holder will bring a blend of commercial intelligence, data & hypothesis led decision making and effective project management to drive the performance of our retail estate through new and existing propositions. This will be done with the consumer firmly at the heart of design thinking and decision making.

A bit about the role…
Day to day, the Senior Propositions Manager is an exciting position where you will be responsible landing new propositions, from idea inception through to development and into BAU.

Proven experience within a a commercial function is just the start of what we’re looking for. So, what else makes a great Senior Propositions Manager at Costa?

  • Previous strategy, commercial, marketing or proposition development role
  • Experience in hospitality, retail, foodservice or wholesale
  • Strategic acumen – ability to understand insights, the market (our consumers, customers and competitors), and set a bold roadmap
  • Commercial & data acumen – ability to interrogate and optimise economics, including conducting own analyses through sourced data
  • Enabling teams – able to influence key enablers as appropriate e.g. digital and marketing to support activation of proposition change
  • Programme management – ability to coordinate complex cross-functional teams
  • Influencing skills – ability to gain buy-in and alignment with a diverse set of stakeholders at multiple levels and from multiple environments / background

Responsibilities:

  • Defining / supporting the strategy and vision for the proposition and subsequent development roadmap
  • Defining the commercial targets and model for our customers, distribution partners and Costa
  • Coordinating cross-functional teams to develop the holistic proposition including environment, product, innovation, commercial, marketing and operations
  • Managing relationships with development partners, as appropriate
  • Managing the change required for effective realisation of propositions benefit into store

Location: Remote contract with frequent travel (average 2 days per week) to Costa Coffee and competitor stores across the UKI & the ability to attend in-person meetings in the London and High Wycombe office if desired.
