Description:

Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and meticulous Senior Risk Analyst to join our First Line Risk team. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and monitoring operational risks across LSE plc and Capital Markets Operations (CMO) with their own areas of responsibility. The individual will report into the Risk Manager for CMO as part of the Risk team who cover Risk and Business Continuity activities across LSE plc & IBSs, Turquoise & CMO.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for ongoing monitoring and analysis of risk, identifying areas of risk exposure and highlighting changes as appropriate
  • Monitor risk indicators and key risk metrics to identify and track changes in risk profiles
  • Complete routine risk reporting and production of management information to support risk governance and decision making
  • Ensure the Governance, Risk and Compliance Tool (GRC) MetricStream is maintained with the latest updates on issues, risk events, controls and assessments
  • Responsible for conducting risk assessments to identify potential operational risks and vulnerabilities
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and controls
  • Support the team to deliver risk projects and activities
  • Provide training and support to teams to help embed risk culture across the business

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in operational risk management or related field
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Relevant certifications or coursework in risk management or related fields are a plus

Department Description:

  • Capital Markets Operations is part of the LSEG Group Operations function and supports all operations activity within the Capital Markets Division. We are structured to oversee and ensure the successful service delivery and service management activities for the division, which includes, but is not limited to:-
  • Onboarding FX and Capital Market customers
  • Ensuring orderly and fair running of key LSEG Markets such as LSE (Equities, Fixed Income and Derivatives) and Turquoise
  • Acting as a first point of contact for customers – Issuers, Member firms, Trading Specialists
  • Being a centre of excellence for Transaction Reporting
  • Ensuring the resiliency of Capital Markets
  • Co-ordinating the production and dissemination of communications to customers and key organisations including EUI, CCPs, UKLA and FTSE Russell
  • Providing an Important Business Service lens for LSE plc, Turquoise & FX.
