RISK ANALYST (MANDARIN SPEAKING)

About the Role: We are currently seeking a Mandarin-speaking Risk Analyst to join our client’s dynamic team. This role involves providing essential monitoring and support across key financial, operational, and market risk functions within our brokerage business.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain all aspects of the company’s Risk Management Framework, ensuring independent and objective oversight, monitoring, and reporting functions.
  • Establish, monitor, and evaluate control mechanisms for material risks, reporting any deviations or breaches promptly.
  • Collaborate with the Management Group to address weaknesses or risks identified in projects, ensuring appropriate rectification procedures are in place.
  • Implement systematic controls and surveillance procedures to monitor trading activity, analyzing trading and market data elements regularly.
  • Produce daily reports on counterparty, trade position risk, and financial risk.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of two years of trade and/or risk experience within the buy-side / capital markets / brokerage sector.
  • Strong knowledge of NZ securities rules, regulations, and risk management practices.
  • In-depth understanding of equities markets, with additional knowledge in derivatives and external regulatory frameworks being advantageous.
  • Exceptional monitoring and data analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills, with fluency in both Chinese and English.
  • Eligible to work in New Zealand with a valid working visa.
