Required Qualifications, US:

Responsibilities:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Risk Analytics Consultant to become a member of the Decision Strategy and Governance team in the Corporate Risk group’s Risk Appetite and Decision Strategy Oversight organization. This team has responsibility for oversight of the development, implementation, and maintenance of front-line business strategies for both credit organizations and deposit processes which result in risk exposure. The person in this role will support these efforts by performing various complex analytical activities related to strategy development, implementation, and monitoring.
The Decision Strategy Support and Governance (DSG) organization is responsible for review, oversight and credible challenge of fraud and credit decision strategies, supporting front line businesses through subject matter expertise with guidance and broad business knowledge, and assuring that front line consumer businesses are operating within the corporate credit risk appetite.
In executing the groups oversight function the DSG team examines artifact submissions from front line business organizations that are guided by standard checklists and forms. Artifacts are examined to ensure that they provide an accurate description of the front-line groups strategy related business processes and that these processes are executed in alignment with relevant corporate policies. In addition to oversight the team poses credible challenge to the strategy related work of front-line units based on expert knowledge and broad business exposure from across the enterprise.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead or participate in moderately complex initiatives and delivering insight and decision strategies within analytics and reporting and contribute to large-scale planning related to Risk Analytics.
  • Review and analyze moderately complex data aggregation, forecasting, reporting, and programming models.
  • Be responsible for process production, data reconciliation, and model documentation in alignment with policy governance.
  • Resolve data, production, business modeling, and lead team to meet Risk Analytics deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of risk reporting policies, modeling strategies, procedures, regulatory requests, and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, experienced managers, compliance, and technology to resolve modeling, forecasting, and production issues, and achieve analytic and reporting goals.
  • Lead projects, teams, and mentor less experienced staff.
  • Partner with cross enterprise risk analysts in development of common modeling strategies.
