The English Language Learning and Assessment Consultant brings extensive specialist knowledge and experience in the field of high stakes testing and english language assessment. The role will be responsible for preparing and presenting content for a wide range of external stakeholders to build knowledge, understanding and advocacy of the PTE test portfolio. The role will work closely with internal colleagues to support the delivery of the ANZ and Global PTE Stakeholder Engagement plan and achieve test recognition and sales objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• Post graduate qualifications in TESOL , Education or other relevant discipline
• Demonstrated expertise in high stakes language assessment
• Strong communication skills – Ability to understand complex information and clearly convey to individuals or groups in a concise manner that engages the audience and aids their understanding
• Presentation skills – able to prepare and present engaging material either face to face or virtually clearly and confidently
• Well developed writing skills for the preparation of presentation material and other written content as and when required
• Strong organisational and time management skills and ability to adapt to a changing environment and competing priorities
• Demonstrated interest in the use of AI and new technology in education
• Understanding of market trends in language assessment and/or international education

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

The English Language Learning and Assessment Consultant role will be responsible for preparing and presenting information relating to Pearson learning, teaching and assessment resources to a range of stakeholders including English language teachers, university international office teams, professional bodies, and education and migration agents. The purpose of this role will be to demonstrate expert knowledge in English language teaching and assessment to build knowledge, understanding, confidence and advocacy in Pearson English products, including PTE Academic.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Represent Pearson in presenting language testing subject matter expertise to various stakeholder audiences
• Demonstrate expert understanding of PTE Academic and Pearson English language learning, teaching and assessment products when engaging with Pearson customers and various stakeholder audiences
• Design and deliver high-quality PTE training/presentation resources in multiple modes and making effective use of technologies.
• Prepare and present on behalf of Pearson at key conferences and symposiums
• Produce content pieces covering topics of interest to institutional and other stakeholder audiences
• Synthesise academic research reports to create content for generalist audiences
• Drafting/proofreading documentation such as government submissions
