Senior SAP Project Manager

POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior SAP Project Manager to lead our SAP implementation projects. The Senior SAP Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of project delivery, including planning, execution, monitoring, and controlling. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing large-scale SAP projects, coupled with strong leadership and communication skills.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in project management, with a focus on SAP implementation projects.
• Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale SAP projects, including full lifecycle implementations and upgrades.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire project teams.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• PMP certification or equivalent project management certification preferred.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience with SAP implementation methodologies, such as ASAP or Activate.
• Knowledge of SAP modules and technologies, including SAP S/4HANA, SAP Fiori, and SAP Cloud Platform.
• Familiarity with agile project management methodologies and tools, such as Scrum or Kanban.
• Experience working in a global or multi-cultural environment.

• Project Planning and Strategy: Lead the development of project plans, timelines, and resource allocations for SAP implementation projects.Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders and project team members.Develop and implement project management processes and methodologies to ensure successful project delivery.
• Team Leadership and Management: Provide leadership and direction to project teams, ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives.Manage project resources, including staffing, budgeting, and vendor management.Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment, encouraging open communication and teamwork.
• Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including business sponsors, steering committee members, and executive leadership.Manage stakeholder expectations and communication, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and issues.Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring their engagement and support throughout the project lifecycle.
• Risk Management and Issue Resolution: Identify and assess project risks and develop mitigation strategies to address potential issues.Proactively manage project risks and issues, escalating as needed to ensure timely resolution.Monitor project performance and take corrective action as necessary to keep the project on track.
• Quality Assurance and Governance: Establish project governance processes and procedures to ensure compliance with project standards and best practices.Conduct regular project reviews and quality assurance assessments to monitor progress and identify areas for improvement.Implement lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery capabilities.
