Description:
Reporting to the Head of Project Management & Asset Management, the Senior Scheduler will be part of a team developing energy solutions for large business and institutional customers including electric vehicle charging, battery storage, solar PV and power generation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- University Degree in Engineering or related field.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is an asset.
- 5+ years of experience as a scheduler in a senior or lead role.
- Proficiency in project management software, specifically Microsoft Project and Primavera.
- Proven experience in analyzing schedule claims.
- Strong communication and collaboration experience with clients, vendors, and diverse teams.
- Self-initiated and intellectually curious, with a strong interest in electrification.
- Technical knowledge of EV charging, battery storage, and other electrical equipment.
- Experience managing electrical projects involving, solar, batteries, generation, distribution or EV’s is an asset.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, incorporating all phases and dependencies.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather information and ensure accurate representation of project timelines.
- Identify significant risks to achieving planned results.
- Participate in project review meetings, to monitor progress, identify problems, and initiate corrective actions.
- Regularly update and analyze multiple project schedules based on project progress, changes, and new information.
- Utilize project management software and scheduling tools proficiently to create and manage schedules.
- Work closely with project leads to maintain the work schedule with the client and subcontractors.
- Work closely with project leads to allocate resources effectively and optimize project timelines.
- Identify and resolve resource constraints that may impact project schedules.
- Proactively identify schedule risks and propose mitigation strategies to minimize delays.
- Identify performance variances regarding actual versus planned results and recommend corrective actions to better align planned and actual results.
- Collaborate with project teams to address issues and obstacles affecting project timelines.
- Communicate schedule status, changes, and potential impacts to project stakeholders and team members.
- Prepare and present schedule reports to management and project teams.
- Evaluate and improve scheduling processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy. This may include developing procedures, instructions, and/or guidelines that facilitate the two-way flow of cost and schedule information.
- Contribute to specified elements of the business planning and budgeting process
- Lead efforts to transition current project schedules from MS Project to Primavera
- Review and evaluate schedule logic, existing and proposed schedules, and suggest options to the management
- Supports development of scheduling standards and procedures. Compiles, summarizes, updates, and maintains historical schedule data. Monitors and reports the critical path and schedule performance of the total project.
- Prepares and analyzes comparisons of scope, and quantities between projects. Develops bid evaluation schedule criteria and prepares bid evaluations.
- Evaluates workforce requirements for each discipline/specialty relative to the overall project needs. Determines quantity and workforce levels in support of the project needs and schedule philosophy.
