Description:

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Food Technology/Science or similar fields.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a R&D professional within a flavour house or B2B food company.
  • Exposure/experience in Seasoning Creation, or Flavour will be a bonus.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

Work Location: Regional Technology & Innovation Centre, Biopolis, Singapore
Reporting To: VP Taste

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support Instant noodle development projects from initiation to launch, conferring with team members where appropriate.
  • Interact with sales &, marketing teams, customers, raw material and packaging suppliers, manufacturing, process engineers and flavour experts etc. to resolve any issues.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of experimental trials and outcomes to streamline the scale-up process and facilitate smooth product transfer to manufacturing.
  • Conduct research in changes to existing products and the development of new products and outlining procedures and specifications.
  • Assure that the flavor and functionality of ingredients in the final products perfectly match the needs and preferences of our customers.
  • Understand ambient stable recipe design and thermal processing requirements related to safety and stability of these products during shelf life.
  • Ensure applications are acceptable in the local or regional markets where sales are expected from a regulatory perspective.
  • Good laboratory practices and lab protocols are met and maintain appropriate databases.
  • Maintain laboratory, including upkeep of equipment and general cleaning of work areas, and actively participates in quality improvement for the function.
  • Attend trade shows, conferences, scientific meetings, and short courses as necessary, making credible presentations to educate customers, students, and industry contacts.
