An der Medizinischen Universität Wien ist am Zentrum für Public Health / Abteilung für Gesundheitsökonomie mit der Kennzahl: 438/24, voraussichtlich ab 1. Juli 2024 eine Stelle mit einem Beschäftigungsausmaß von 30 Wochenstunden mit einem Senior Scientist (w/m/d) zu besetzen.
Das monatliche Mindestentgelt für diese Verwendung beträgt derzeit Euro 2.684,- brutto (14x jährlich) und kann sich eventuell auf Basis der kollektivvertraglichen Vorschriften durch die Anrechnung tätigkeitsspezifischer Vorerfahrungen sowie sonstige mit den Besonderheiten des Arbeitsplatzes verbundene Entgeltsbestandteile erhöhen.

Das Arbeitsverhältnis endet nach Ablauf von 1 Jahr.
Der:die Kandidat:in wird im Rahmen des WWTF-finanzierten Projekts „STREAMLINE“ (Establishing a Reference Unit Costs catalogue for the optimized evaluation and planning of mental healthcare in Vienna) tätig sein (https://www.wwtf.at/funding/programmes/ls/LS22-027).

GEWÜNSCHTE ZUSATZQUALIFIKATIONEN:

• Ausgezeichnete IT-Anwenderkenntnisse, fundiertes Wissen und Erfahrung in der quantitativen Datenerhebung, Datenanalyse und -auswertung (Excel, SPSS, Stata, SAS, R oder ähnliches)
• Ausgezeichnete Englisch- und Deutschkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift
• Interesse an inter- und multidisziplinärer Forschung
• Enthusiasmus, hohes Maß an Eigenmotivation, Teamfähigkeit, eigenständige Arbeitsweise und die Fähigkeit Deadlines einzuhalten
• Projekterfahrung im Bereich Gesundheitsökonomie und Sozioökonomie sowie der Nachweis von relevanten Publikationen sind wünschenswert

SENIOR SCIENTIST IN HEALTH ECONOMICS (F/M/D)

The Medical University of Vienna, Center for Public Health, Department of Health Economics (DHE), is looking for a Senior Scientist (pre-doc) (f/md/d) to contribute to the WWTF-funded project “STREAMLINE” (Establishing a Reference Unit Costs catalogue for the optimized evaluation and planning of mental healthcare in Vienna) (https://www.wwtf.at/funding/programmes/ls/LS22-027). The position is for one year fixed-term, part-time (30 hours/week) in the first instance and can be filled as of 01 July 2024.
Salary and terms of employment are according to the collective with a minimum monthly gross salary of Euro 2.684,- (14x per year).

JOB DESCRIPTION

Relevant work includes literature and other source reviews, conducting surveys and interviews for primary and secondary epidemiological, socioeconomic, services research and health economic data collections, and performing quantitative data analyses and syntheses. The position holder will support the day-to-day running of the project, collect and analyze relevant data, and develop and disseminate the study results including peer-reviewed publications and presentations. Involvement in other departmental activities (e.g. teaching) is also foreseen according to experience level.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

• Topic relevant Bachelor or Master’s degree (health economics, economics, socioeconomics, health services research, health care management, public health, sociology, psychology)
• Readiness to contribute to other research and teaching activities
• The employment requirements of non-EU citizens under foreign law must be guaranteed

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• Strong IT and quantitative data collection and data analysis (Excel, SPSS, Stata, SAS, R or similar) skills
• Excellent written and spoken English and German knowledge
• Interest in interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary research
• Enthusiasm, good teamwork and interest in skill development
• Ability to manage tasks professionally to agreed deadlines
• A record previous research publications and experience with socioeconomic and health economic studies is positively valued
