Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE:
As a Senior Service Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring satisfactory operation of instrumentation and equipment used for Herd Testing.
You will coordinate the servicing and maintenance duties in accordance with maintenance plans and quality system/s specifications, in a safe and effective manner and prioritise the work activities of the other Service Technicians.
The role will also be responsible for the inventory management of all maintenance spares and consumables for the relevant site and will provide training and support for other Technicians.
YOUR ROLE WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Maintaining the reliability of analytical instruments, automation, plant and equipment, in a safe manner at all times.
Responding to and resolving equipment breakdowns in a timely and methodical manner (this may require working outside of normal hours).
Ensuring all maintenance and other site documentation is updated as required.
Manage inventory of maintenance spares and consumables
Provide training and support for other shift-based Service Technicians
About You
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING:
Excellent mechanical aptitude, with a minimum qualification of a relevant Trade certificate (electrical, mechanical or instrumentation) and EST (Electrical Service Technician) qualification.
3 - 5 years’ experience in maintenance of automated laboratory equipment, including robotic transfer systems and liquid handling systems.
Understanding and ability to work within the boundaries of ISO/IEC 17025 and ISO9001
Computer literate - able to effectively fault find using PC based service software and network fault diagnosis
Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
