QUALIFICATIONS:

• At least 5+ years of experience in developing web applications.
• At least 4+ years of expertise in developing Shopify e-commerce websites – must have either Shopify Plus / Shopify v2.0.
• Proficient in creating Shopify Apps, Functions, and customising Checkout processes.
• Demonstrated proficiency in integrating backend systems with Shopify.
• Proficient in modern JavaScript frameworks such as Ruby, React, and Next.js.
• Competence with Content Management Systems.
• Thorough knowledge of the latest JavaScript APIs.
• Strong understanding of functional programming in JavaScript.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are currently working with a large Insur-Tech company who is working on a new project and is looking for an engineer to join their dynamic team.
This position entails various duties such as assisting in solution design, coding, conducting unit tests, and deploying easily maintainable and scalable solutions. As a member of the team, you’ll work closely with cross-functional Agile teams on various projects and initiatives. Your main objective will be to deliver high-quality applications utilising Shopify, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, while following established software development standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop the Shopify storefront, ensuring high performance and responsiveness on both desktop and mobile devices.
• Keep up to date of emerging technologies, with a focus on Shopify, ensuring a thorough understanding of the latest innovations.
• Actively advocate for and promote usability best practices within the development process.
• Develop high-quality solutions by leveraging existing code libraries, patterns, and architectural techniques.
• Create functional and visually appealing web applications based on usability principles and generate reusable code and libraries for future projects.
• Ensure the technical capability of UI/UX designs and optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
