Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive, self-motivated and experienced nurse to work as part of the Critical Care team. The post holder will have direct responsibility for the management of the 16 bedded ICU and HDU and will provide management and leadership to the Critical Care team. You will be expected to undertake further study to maintain your professional practice.
We are looking to appoint a dynamic and skilled individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, to work as clinical Shift leader, and to provide visible nursing leadership and an effective and high quality patient focused service.
It is essential that you have a good understanding of the challenges and the skills required to support patients, families, carers and staff within critical care environments. You must also demonstrate excellent organizational skills, change management skills, and the ability to inspire, lead and develop a team. You must also demonstrate excellent clinical leadership skills, a strong team management approach and be open to developing and progressing new ideas and innovative ways of working.
You must be enthusiastic and passionate about delivering high standards of patient centered care and be a professional role model.
Direct fundamental and advanced nursing duties within Trust policies,procedures and guidelines reporting to the matron and providing feedback of issues or concerns.
Directs and develops systems and models of nursing and evidence based care which contribute to the quality of the patient’s experience.
Contributes to the performance management through the efficient delivery of fundamental and advanced care.
