KEY SKILLS:

  • Candidates should have a minimum of 8+ years of relevant experience in construction project management or site coordination roles. Previous experience in a senior or leadership position on construction sites is highly desirable.
  • Comprehensive understanding of construction processes, methods, materials, and equipment, as well as knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in project management principles, including project planning, scheduling, budgeting, resource management, and risk management.

Responsibilities:

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

Senior Site Coordinator is to oversee and manage all activities related to the construction site, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality and safety standards. They play a pivotal role in coordinating various aspects of site operations, including scheduling, resource allocation, and subcontractor management. Additionally, Senior Site Coordinators often serve as a liaison between project stakeholders, such as clients, architects, engineers, and contractors, facilitating communication and resolving any issues that may arise during construction. By providing leadership and direction to site teams, monitoring progress, and enforcing compliance with regulations and company policies, they contribute to the successful execution of construction projects and the achievement of project objectives.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Project Planning and Coordination: Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets in coordination with project managers and stakeholders. Ensure that all activities are executed efficiently and effectively to meet project milestones and deadlines.
  • Site Management: Oversee all on-site activities, including subcontractor coordination, material deliveries, equipment usage, and site logistics. Monitor progress against the project schedule and address any delays or issues promptly to keep the project on track.
  • Quality Assurance and Compliance: Ensure that all work performed on the site meets quality standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies. Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and resolve any quality or compliance issues.
  • Safety Leadership: Promote a culture of safety on the construction site by implementing and enforcing safety policies and procedures. Conduct regular safety inspections, provide safety training to site personnel, and take appropriate measures to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Communication and Reporting: Serve as the primary point of contact for communication between project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors. Provide regular updates on project progress, issues, and risks through meetings, reports, and other communication channels.
  • Resource Management: Manage resources such as labor, equipment, and materials efficiently to optimize productivity and minimize waste. Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment to the site.
  • Problem Solving and Conflict Resolution: Identify and resolve any conflicts, disputes, or issues that arise on the construction site. Collaborate with stakeholders to find mutually acceptable solutions and maintain positive working relationships.
  • Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including daily reports, progress photos, change orders, and RFIs (Requests for Information). Ensure that all project-related documentation is properly organized and archived for future reference.
  • Budget and Cost Control: Monitor project expenses against the budget and identify any variances or cost overruns. Work closely with project managers to implement cost-saving measures and ensure that the project remains financially viable.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains on the construction site. Implement best practices and lessons learned from previous projects to optimize performance and deliver better results.
