Description:
We are seeking a seasoned Chief Site Reliability Engineer to join our remote workforce.
In this role, liaising with Pharmaceutical Labs to comprehend their data migration/connectivity requirements and forming a solution that fulfills these requirements will be your primary responsibility. Your duties will include designing, planning, and managing the data migration process, to successfully deliver large and complex migration projects to the cloud. Strong knowledge of Cloud Infrastructure Provisioning, Containerization, Kubernetes, and Linux is integral to your role as you will be expected to architect the solution working alongside the user requirements and understanding the On-premise infra design.
REQUIREMENTS
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in cloud infrastructure provisioning and data migration, focusing on Amazon Web Services or Systems Engineering
- Proficiency with Cloud Infrastructure Provisioning and Linux
- Proficiency with containerization technologies, e.g., Docker and related management systems such as Kubernetes and OpenShift
- Expertise in the design, planning, and management of the data migration process
- Proficiency with Cloud networking (VPNs, DNS, TCP/IP, UDP)
- Familiarity with AWS services like Terraform, CloudFormation, compute, ECS, ECR, EKS, RDS, server migration service, and data migration service
- Comprehensive understanding of Networking Terminology (On-promise/Cloud) and On-Premise to cloud connectivity
- Experience in coordinating with multiple teams, including the storage team and the Networking Team
- Proficiency in designing tools such as Draw.io
- Fluency in spoken and written English, B2+ level
Responsibilities:
- Comprehension of data migration/connectivity requirements for Pharmaceutical Labs and formulating a solution that aligns with their needs
- Design, planning, and management of the data migration process to enable large and complex end-to-end business application migration to cloud projects
- Gathering user requirements to architect a suitable solution
- Understanding of the On-premise infra design to ensure solutions correspond with business objectives
- Collaboration with teams such as the storage team and the Networking Team for seamless project execution
- Continuous learning and development of technical and non-technical skills through engagement with a mentor
