Responsibilities:

As an integral member of Grouper’s Platform Operations Team, this role will collaborate closely with stakeholders across the business to deploy, maintain, and monitor our live services.
Operating within our Service Delivery Team, you will concentrate on the design, deployment, and operation of our development, pre-production, and production of GRC and HRIS services, as well as their underlying platform.
Your responsibilities will encompass implementing and managing the tools and technologies vital to our mission-critical core operations processes, including data ingestion, validation, scheduling, risk assessment, analytics, and modeling.

The role’s areas of focus:

  • Service Delivery Team Collaboration: Working closely with development teams, engineering teams, and product owners to foster seamless collaboration within the Service Delivery Team.
  • Solution Compliance Assurance: Ensuring that the solution meets all requirements for availability, security, monitoring, alerting, and scaling to maintain optimal performance and reliability.
  • Change Execution and Collaboration: Collaborating with SREs, release engineers, platform architects, and security architects to execute changes in coordination with various stakeholders.
  • Standard Procedure Execution: Implementing standard operating procedures and runbooks during scheduled and unscheduled service maintenance windows for smooth operations.
  • Performance Reporting: Providing detailed reports on key platform availability and performance metrics to support informed decision-making and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Ticket Management and Customer Response: Addressing customer requests and managing change and incident tickets efficiently to ensure timely resolution and customer satisfaction.

What We’re Looking For: Site Reliability Star! Are you ready to immerse yourself in a role that demands technical mastery and strategic insight? We’re seeking someone with:

  • Cloud Certification: Certification in one of Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services, or Microsoft Azure Public Cloud technologies to ensure adeptness in cloud management and operations.
  • Deployment Expertise: Understanding of Cloud deployment models, CI/CD processes, and validation of post-deployment service operations to uphold reliable service delivery.
  • Networking and Linux Skills: Proficiency in Networking and Linux Skills to troubleshoot and maintain system reliability.
  • Scripting and Provisioning: Familiarity with scripting and provisioning frameworks such as bash, Terraform, and PowerShell for automated infrastructure management.
  • Containerisation Knowledge: Working knowledge of containerisation technology such as Docker and Kubernetes to facilitate scalable and resilient deployments.
  • Data Analytics Proficiency: Understanding of data analytics technology, including SQL and Spark, for efficient data processing and analysis.
  • Strong Communication: Strong documentation, reporting, communication, and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively within the team and across departments.
