About our team:
You will be joining a collaborative, curious, team of Software Engineers at all different levels. By joining us you will have the opportunity to share ownership in solving this problem end to end. From exploring new data sources for building features, to design and put in production predictive models and make sure they perform consistently over time.
About the job:
You’ll be part of our Site Reliability Engineering squads, working with talented engineers.You will help shape the build, maintenance and support for of our infrastructure & applications, customers and projects. You will be required to communicate and solve problems effectively, whilst handling a fast-paced working environment.
The role will require you to attend the Southampton Office 2 days per week.
You’ll be Responsible for:
Delivery of resilient application stacks via “Infrastructure as Code” and other DevOps practices
Diagnosis and resolution of complex infrastructure, system and application issues
Write and maintain systems / application documentation for technical and non-technical audiences
Good understanding of defensive, corrective and detective controls and requirements
Manage Customer Reliability Engineering activities driving Application Monitoring, Metrics, Incident Reviews and Long-Term Actions
Working with diverse technical and non-technical teams.
Qualifications:
Experience working in a SRE or DevOps related capacity
BS Engineering or Computer Science or relevant work experience
Desirable – AWS Certification or security certification
Amazon Web Services, particularly security/networking areas.
Kubernetes ideally experience
Linux (preferably Ubuntu)
Terraform or other IaC tool.
CI/CD (ideally GItlab CI).
Git code review workflows (Gitlab and/or Github)
