Stand Tū Māia is looking for a social work team leader committed to restoring and preserving child and family safety and wellness.
We have an exciting opportunity for a senior practitioner to join our incredibly dedicated team in our Children’s Village in Gisborne.
Known internally as ‘Village Team Leader’ your primary responsibilities will be to help lead the delivery of therapeutic care and education services to children aged 5 to 12 who have experienced significant trauma in their lives and who need support to recover and reach their potential.
The role also includes providing social work supervision to support other social workers and care workers to contribute to the development of service excellence.
Reporting to the Kahukura Ora Service Leader, the role is to provide leadership, practice and procedural oversight on rostered shifts, Mon-Fri (rostered weekend work is not required).
