Description:

At EY, you’ll have the chance to build a career as unique as you are, with the global scale, support, inclusive culture and technology to become the best version of you. And we’re counting on your unique voice and perspective to help EY become even better, too. Join us and build an exceptional experience for yourself, and a better working world for all.
What if your career could have a lasting impact on you, and the World?
Climate change is driving an unprecedented transformation in the global energy sector. The energy industry is transitioning to a low carbon, decentralised future, facing a wide range of engineering and economic challenges along the way.
EY-ROAM is a leading provider of electricity market modelling services in Australia. Our role in the energy industry is to provide evidence-based insights, enabling our clients to make informed decisions amidst uncertainty and change. Our software is flexible and can be applied in any electricity market or power system globally. Our clients span the full spectrum of the supply chain including renewable generation developers, energy sector investors, transmission and distribution network service providers, retailers, regulators, and government departments.

WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?

We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic senior software and data model developer to join the EY‑ROAM team in Brisbane, Sydney or Perth within EY’s Strategy and Transactions practice.
As a custodian of our proprietary modelling suite, you will support our client facing staff by overseeing continuous improvement of our software tools, data sets and data feeds relating to commercial variables, weather and energy resource information and electricity market operations and trading. You will take the initiative on a range of crucial software and IT innovation programmes to help ensure we retain and extend our market leading status. You will also support the development of software and data sets for emerging new service offerings and contribute to unique software development and data analysis requests for client specific engagements.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate high quality analytical and creative problem solving skills, be well organised and have the ability to manage competing priorities, be able to team effectively with client facing staff and be prepared to rapidly expand their understanding of modelling energy markets and be comfortable working in a fast-paced consulting environment.
In parallel, you will have the opportunity to target your learning and development towards your key areas of interest.
