Our Government/Defence client is seeking Senior Software Assurance Engineers to join its team based in Portsmouth. Due to the current global instability, the UK’s defence and cyber security are fundamentally important, and you will play a huge part on some exciting long term projects contributing to this.
As the Senior Software Assurance Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the software delivery across multiple projects. You will be part of a talented team providing technical analysis of the software of highly important safety critical systems, whilst having the confidence and knowledge to feedback to the team on identified issues that are within or you can see arising in the systems. You will have the opportunity to work on the latest government / defence platforms, be a key member in the assessment of 3rd party software and documentation ensuring that it reaches adequate safety and conformance to standards.
Although it is beneficial to come from a Government/Defence background, if you come from other highly regulated environments such as Aviation, medical etc then that is fine. Due to the nature of the client, this role requires all candidates to be SC cleared so you must have or be eligible to go through this.
