Your main task? To design, develop, and optimize our public sector customers backend services using Java or Node.js, with a special focus on Geographic Information Systems (GIS). As part of our team, you’ll also have the chance to dive into a range of exciting projects across various technological domains.
The life cycle of our projects and the size of teams varies so there’s no need to worry about getting stuck or bored. Our customer base and the scope of our projects are wide, from small start-ups to globally large enterprises, and from legacy-type maintenance to advanced projects in generative AI. What are we looking for?
Java or node.js: Whether your strength lies in Java (with experience in Java 11 and functional programming in Java 8 or later) or you excel in node.js, we’re looking for someone with over 5 years of experience in either language.
Frontend: If you have experience with Angular.js, LeafletJS, and Angular UI Bootstrap, it’s a great advantage.
Cloud: Proficiency in cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, and Azure is essential, as our codebase primarily operates on these platforms.
GIS: Strong skills in geospatial information processing using PostGIS or other similar tools. Experience with Mapbox, Geoserver, Leaflet, Open Layers, QGIS, National Land Survey data sources, ETL tools and OGC standard such as WMTS, GML, WFS, Shapefile are a nice plus.
To ensure effective communication, including with Finnish-speaking customers, proficiency in both English and Finnish is essential for this customer project.
