We work with socially significant clients. Our clients include the Prime Minister’s Office, the Defence Forces, Kela (The Social Insurance Institution of Finland), and the City of Helsinki - just to name a few!
We develop critical, socially significant systems and services, making the meaningfulness of our work gain an entirely new dimension. Our project teams develop, for example, large-scale citizen e-services that have a wide user base.
Our public sector business currently consists of over 90 experts from various fields. Most of our experts are solid professionals in backend and frontend development, but our teams also include experienced service designers and designers, who play a central role in our projects. Projects at HiQ are usually carried out by our own experienced project teams of about 2-3 people, working in close cooperation with the client.
Our technologies range from cloud-native application development to public clouds, and from applications that meet security classifications to on-premises server development, and from microservices to service-oriented architecture. In terms of technology stack, we often also consider your preferences and strive to tailor the role and career path to your liking.

You’re the addition we’re looking for to our team, if:

• You have solid experience in Java development.
• You have experience with databases, especially knowledge of PostgreSQL is beneficial.
• You are proficient in container technologies, and you are familiar with AWS / Azure cloud service solutions.
• You have experience in microservices technologies, especially Spring Boot.
• You understand the fundamentals of Cloud Native application development.
• You have used JavaScript libraries in UI development.
• You are fluent in Finnish and English.
