As a Senior Software Developer, you will join a highly talented team to deliver services and applications that implement our latest innovations for the Canadian Insurance Space. The ideal candidate thrives in an agile environment, thinks outside the box, and is passionate about developing high-performing, high-quality maintainable code.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Formalized education in Computer Science or another Information Technology based program.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development, with a focus on C#, ASP.NET, Razor and JavaScript
  • Strong understanding of web development concepts, including MVC architecture, RESTful services, and client-server architecture.
  • Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with version control systems, specifically Git.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with cloud services (e.g., Azure, AWS) and containerization technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker).
  • Knowledge of agile development methodologies and practices.
  • Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Experience with TypeScript is an asset.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain web applications using C#, ASP.NET, Razor and JavaScript
  • Create and manage complex databases using MS SQL Server.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and other developers to define software requirements and specifications.
  • Write clean, scalable, and efficient code while adhering to best practices and coding standards.
  • Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing applications to ensure high performance and responsiveness.
