As an Senior Software Development Engineer you would be working, as full-stack developer, together with IQ Engineers to get their test results presented is user friendly and easy to use portal. Your work also includes coaching others and helping with resolving technical issues. You can use latest and greatest technologies in web development and keep your skills up to date at all times.
This work requires full-stack development skills with e.g. React + FastAPI + Python or some other modern framework combination. Senior position also requires understanding of web security; restrictions with browsers and even more importantly preventing unwanted access.
In this position, you will get to see the latest and greatest things in camera industry not yet in the market down to products in shops.

Key job responsibilities
As a Senior Software Development Engineer, you will be responsible of getting the most out of our tests and measurement capabilities. How to visualize different metrics so that they are easy to understand and can be easily compared with others.
In order for you to be successful in your job you should be familiar with basic web technologies for presenting pictures, videos and graphs in an interactive way.
Tests and metrics change constantly and you need to create easily maintainable system, where new stuff can be easily added and old data retired.
We also take security seriously, so you should be familiar with typical security vulnerabilities and how to prevent them.
A day in the life
New test is created, it produces measurements in json format, IQ engineer wants to have simple analysis done from the json and results visible as traffic lights. You start creating a PoC.
As long term activity you are also working with optimizing video performance from AWS S3 bucket to browser screen for future camera resolutions.
You help tools team to add version history button their tool UI done with React as they do not have any React skills
Around 9 AM and 2 PM people gather in coffee places and at lunch time in local cafeterias. This is good time for refreshing you brain with some non-technical discussion.

Here at Amazon Ring Tampere we have small team of camera experts - “heart of imaging”. We work together to provide best camera experience for our end customers with any given pricepoint.

Tampere, FIN

It is good (but not mandatory) if you have

• Any video manipulation skills, knowledge in formats etc
• Amazon S3, Microsoft Azure or relevant cloud knowledge
• OAuth2 or SAML knowledge
• Knowledge differences in browsers and how to overcome those
• Knowledge in Tableau or similar framework.
