We work on every part of the stack, and collaborate with stakeholders across Zillow to make mortgages a transparent and seamless part of the housing super app.
As part of the ZHL mortgage operations group, you will help create a best-in-class suite of tools, technologies, and processes to ZHL’s operators, which - through seamless integration with each other and the broader Zillow technology ecosystem - support and delight borrowers from their first interaction with ZHL until closing.

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Software Development Engineer, you’ll lead the delivery and ongoing support of projects from end-to-end. In addition, you will:

  • Deliver high-quality, testable code while clearly communicating about timelines.
  • Contribute to the technical and product direction of new features.
  • Review code and weave quality into everything we do.
  • Pragmatically advocate for excellence in our engineering processes.
  • Facilitate high-value collaboration between engineers within and across teams.
  • Mentor junior engineers, and upskill everyone on your team. We want to learn from you!
  • Set the tone for how we work on an ambitious, inclusive, and multi-functional team.

This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. U.S. employees may live in any of the 50 United States, with limited exceptions.
In California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New York and Washington the standard base pay range for this role is $156,300.00 - $249,700.00 Annually. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New York and Washington and may not be applicable to other locations.
In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.
