Description:

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor of Computer or Electrical Engineering, Bachelor of Computer Science or related field
  • Software Project Leadership is preferred
  • Software design experience is preferred
  • 7+ years of automotive experience is preferred
  • Ability to launch and lead software development without supervision
  • Ability to work with Global Teams

Responsibilities:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support and mentor junior engineers as a technical leader through training, reviews and collaboration.
  • Work directly with customers and suppliers to develop and manage designs, requirements, specifications, etc.
  • Participate in Agile Scrum teams through sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, sprint reviews and daily standups.
  • Quoting new programs through estimation of hours, costs for tools and licenses by engaging with our internal team and our supply base.
  • Support engineering in new product development and managing lessons learned.
  • Write C Code to meet functional and technical specifications.
  • Perform peer reviews on all artifacts during the lifecycle of a project.
  • Code compliance to MISRA-C, CERTC and ADAC coding guidelines.
  • Create and maintain software architecture and detail designs.
  • Support Test Lab functional test requirements.
  • Support manufacturing regarding inline product testing methods, specifications and equipment selection.
  • Investigate alternative suppliers of electronic content for non-directed-buy suppliers for future products.
  • Evaluate, assess and troubleshoot electronics content contained in core product base.
