ABOUT THE SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER/ARCHITECT VACANCY:

The company are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Software Engineer/Architect to join their Digital Marketing business unit.
This position includes managing and constructing robust data processing architectures and instituting data-driven decision-making processes and demands strong analytics, communication, and collaboration skills.
You will need to have client-facing abilities, business acumen, understanding of value creation because you will be converting data into actionable intelligence, and you should be proficient in extracting insights from complex datasets.
You will be working across Agile teams and collaborating with different teams and colleagues based in different regions.

IDEAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER/ARCHITECT WITH DATA EXPERIENCE VACANCY

• Several years of relevant work experience as a Software Engineer
• Proficiency in SQL and an Object-Oriented Programming language, Go is a plus or Java (the ETL is built on Go)
• Familiarity with developing and integrating RESTful and GraphQL APIs
• Ability to build APIs and have a deep understanding of Data
• Data Engineer/Architect
• Strong background in Database Design and Modelling
• Experience with Structured and Unstructured Data
• Analytical skills to identify and solve complex problems
• Machine Learning experience would be nice to have
• Knowledge of JavaScript, HTM, and CSS is a plus
• Follows DevOps Principles and Monitoring tools
• A Data Science and Analytics background would be nice
• Experience with container orchestration technologies like Docker or Kubernetes
• Experience in designing data warehouses and data cubes for reporting and self-service analytics, with a preference for Tableau or Microsoft’s BI platform
• Excellent communication and effective collaboration skills
• Proven experience in customer interactions, gathering and translating business requirements into technical specifications
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or equivalent engineering field

• Collaborate closely with various stakeholders, including Product Managers, Sales, Data Scientists, and Engineers to understand product goals and needs, driving the data strategy to support these objectives.
• Conduct data analysis to uncover business insights that will inform strategy and decision-making.
• Ensure production readiness by implementing and maintaining robust data pipelines and processes to meet operational requirements and standards, ensuring the integrity and efficiency of data processing.
• Own and maintain critical metrics and reports, supporting customers, leadership, engineers, analysts, and data scientists in making well-informed business decisions.
• Continuously improve the data platform’s reliability, scalability, performance, and maintainability by implementing new features and improvements.
