QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
- BS degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or similar technical field of study or equivalent practical experience
- Minimum 5 years of Software Engineering experience
- Proficiency in Python and knowledge of C++
- Test Driven Development (TDD) attitude
- Familiarity with Linux and containerisation
- Experience developing software to support Data Science workflows is highly favourable
- Experience with real-time or embedded software systems is favourable
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team, communicating effectively with engineers from non-software / data science backgrounds
Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
The company is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with relevant experience to join the Data Science Team in Sydney. The role is primarily focused on the development of DroneShield’s RfAI projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES, DUTIES AND EXPECTATIONS
- Design, develop and deploy software with focus on high availability, low latency, and scalability
- Architect software modules for embedded microservices
- Support ML/AI engineers in productionising inference pipelines
- Build and maintain infrastructure toolsets and deployment pipelines
- Collaborate closely with other engineers and become a valued member of an autonomous, cross-functional team
- Assist the software/hardware development teams to make informed decisions about the future direction of complex deployed system design
