Okta’s Customer Identity Cloud (CIC), powered by Auth0 technology, is an
easy-to-implement authentication and authorization platform designed by developers for developers. We make access to applications safe, secure, and seamless for the more than 100 million daily logins around the world. Our modern approach to identity enables this Tier-Ø global service to deliver convenience, privacy, and security so customers can focus on innovation.
The Developer Experience organization is responsible for the tools that our customers use to set up, manage and report on their installation. We help unleash Auth0’s full potential for our customer’s journey. We improve the experience of the developers using Auth0 every day.

- Experience creating and maintaining public APIs
- Experience working with a fully distributed, remote team

Responsibilities:
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Be a part of a collaborative and agile team, interfacing with the product managers and other teams to support shared services
- Work with technical leaders to help find opportunities for optimization of existing services
- Debug and resolve production issues and implement fixes for them
- Support existing services by ensuring that security issues and dependency updates are addressed in a timely manner
- Support other teams by reviewing changes to shared services and addressing bugs
- Work using NodeJS (Javascript/Typescript), MongoDB, and PostgreSQL on AWS and Azure.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE
- 5+ years of experience in a software engineering role
- A passion for working on systems that are highly reliable, scalable, and secure.
- Interested in designing, analyzing and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems
- Solid understanding of NodeJS and RESTful APIs
- A deep understanding of Javascript and TypeScript
- An interest in maintaining modernizing and optimizing large-scale distributed systems
- Thrive in a highly collaborative, fully remote, and distributed culture
- Demonstrate ownership, accountability, attention to detail, and a customer-focused attitude.
- Strong experience with unit, integration, end-to-end, and performance testing
