About the Opportunity:
Ellucian Company, LLC (f/k/a Ellucian Company LP) for a Sr. Software Engineer in Reston, VA. JOB DUTIES: Coding CI/CD pipelines with a strong understanding of our product’s architecture and cloud infrastructure aiming to accelerate delivery and drive down costs. Working closely with the CRM Development and Cloud Operations teams to develop and maintain the Cloud Supply Chain frameworks, technologies, and feedback tools. Supporting the CRM Development and Cloud Operations teams during US times when issues arise deploying Ellucian’s CRM solutions to AWS or urgent matters with the CI/CD processes. Ensuring that each phase of the Cloud Supply Chain from development to QA, to staging and into production is fully automated, as frictionless as possible, utilizing CI/CD. Coding infrastructure changes utilizing Infrastructure as Code ensuring they are architecture to implement 99.9% uptime and enable elastic scalability. Ensuring information security best practices and policies are implemented in your designs. Requires a Bachelor’s degree or its foreign educational equivalent in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or related Information Technology discipline plus 2 years experience as Engineer - Cloud DevOps or Software Developer or similar role in an IT Occupation. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: 1 year experience in maintaining and deploying highly-available, fault-tolerant systems at scale; 1 year experience in Deploying solutions into AWS or Azure; 2 years’ experience in Implementing CI/CD (e.g. Jenkins); 1 year experience in automating repetitive tasks (e.g. scripting via Ruby, Python, Shell Scripting, PowerShell, and/or JAVA) Network Engineering concepts (e.g. Firewalls, Load Balancers,CDN’s); 6 months experience in Container Technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, ECS; 6 months experience in Infrastructure-as-code (preferable Terraform) Configuration Management tools (e.g. Ansible, Packer) Release Engineering tools such as Jenkins and Maven; 2 years experience in Cloud technologies such as virtualization, storage and network domains in a cloud service model; 1 year experience in command-line tools and distributed version control system such as GIT, GitFlow, SVN,TFS.
