We have a great new opportunity to join our team as a Sr Software Engineer based in Budapest, Hungary.
Genesys is looking for an experienced and highly motivated Senior Software Engineer to work on an agile team maintaining and developing new features for our Genesys Knowledge product.
The ideal candidate will be results-driven, self-motivated developer with deep knowledge of Java, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Angular, SQL. The position will require a thorough understanding of software development techniques and working with different stake holders to work on customer reported issues or develop new features.
To be effective the candidate must have excellent communication skills, ability to prioritize customer escalations and partner with customer representatives to investigate issues and provide solutions.

Major Responsibilities / Activities

  • Design and Document the Backend module
  • Design and Document security, scaling, performance, feature, and user-experience enhancements.
  • Assist support engineers with escalated customer issues by reading logs, explaining intended behaviors, and identifying defects.
  • Maintain the overall deployment flow and release strategy for features and fixes.

Minimum Requirements

  • 5+ years of industry experience
  • Hands on experience with Java (must have), Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Angular, DevOps CICD tools, relational DBMS (MySQL, Oracle, etc.) non-relational DBMS, Elastic Search cluster management
  • Experience of working on complex enterprise level workflow based systems
  • Understanding of Windows/Linux Server management, installation and configuration of applications
  • Knowledge of multi-tier web applications and technologies such as HTTP, JavaScript, JSON in a service-oriented architecture (SOA) or on-prem deployments
  • Ability to use version control systems such as GitHub, Mercurial or Bitbucket
  • Ability to use delivery pipeline automation and configuration tools such as Jenkins
  • Knowledge of service-oriented architecture (SOA)
  • Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Preference for candidates who have desktop application development experience.
