DESCRIPTION

My client is an emerging tech company with a production-ready software designed for supporting business growth, and we are looking for a Senior Ruby On Rails Engineer!

PURPOSE OF ROLE:

• Contribute to enhancing the performance and reliability of backend services, encompassing Ruby on Rails servers, GCP deployments, and Cloudflare workers.
• Produce high-quality code complemented by comprehensive and meaningful tests.
• Demonstrate proficiency in profiling and resolving performance bottlenecks.
• Develop scalable and informative documentation to facilitate knowledge sharing and communication.

You are :

• Proficient in writing Ruby.
• Proficient in writing tests with RSpec.
• Proficient in writing Javascript / Typescript.
• Experienced with Ruby on Rails framework.
• Proficient in writing SQL.
• Experienced with Postgres.
• Strong understanding of command line and toolchains (e.g. Zsh, Vim, Tmux).
• Have a good grasp of serverless paradigms including deployments, scaling and security.
• Experienced in GraphQL or is willing to learn.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Lead the engineering team by establishing elevated standards and implementing scalable processes.
• Take ownership of the engineering team’s deliverables and provide support for product management initiatives.
• Oversee the technical interview process for hiring new engineers.
• Design and architect both existing and new systems and platforms.
• Foster a culture of code reviews and pair programming.
• Coach and mentor the team to excel in testing and ensure completion of tasks by thoroughly documenting all pertinent information for product managers or stakeholder
